Anderson Silva (c) vs. Chris Weidman for the Middleweight championship. I’m surprised to see UFC fighters and insiders are heavily favouring Weidman to win, even though he has far less experience and is coming off a year hiatus. Weidman is already talking about giving Silva an immediate rematch after he wins, he’s that confident. Silva has been saying things like “winning isn’t important.” (What’s more important in a fight than winning?) Plus he handed Weidman the belt to hold together for photo ops after the pre fight press conference. Does Silva sense his own defeat? Is it a sign of things to come? I don’t know, it’s hard to bet against Silva, he’s undefeated in the UFC. However, I don’t like him at all so I’m rooting for Weidman to win.
